Pecan Trees - Gloria Grande (Type 2)Carya illinoinensis
USDA Hardiness Zones: 6-9
The Gloria Grande Pecan tree has a 50% shelling percentage and averages about 49 nuts per pound. The tree produces thin-shelled pecans with a high oil content. The tree is a Type-2 pollinator, meaning its stigma is receptive prior to pollen shedding. Because of this, it should be pollinated with Type-One pecan trees. The tree grows to a mature height of 75 to 100 feet. The Gloria Grande is hardy in Zones 8-9 and should be planted in full sun or partial shade with deep, moist, well-drained soil.
USDA ZONES: Zone 8, Zone 9

How to Plant
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Both trees arrived in beautiful condition. Quite surprised to be honest. Never ordered anything like this before. Immediately planted as directed and in just a week new leaves forming. Very pleased.
Planted it... watered it daily... died in 7 days. Every leaf on it shriveled up and tree appears dead.
Very disappointed considering what I paid for it.
Very pleased with the trees I ordered - very healthy looking with good root systems - will be ordering more
