STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.

After planting, water cryptomeria regularly, keeping its soil moist to 1 inch deep during the first growing season. In the summer, water at least once a week. You should also prune in the summer so that the tree remains healthy and keeps its pyramidal shape.

Beautiful little trees with great potential

We bought eight 2 to 3-feet high Japanese Yoshino Cryptomeria trees. They arrived intact, all with new growth on the tips.
They look lovely so far. Thank you!

They look great

I received them the other day and they showed up in pretty good shape. I wasn’t sure about ordering plants online but during this time, and not being able to find these anywhere around me, I thought I would give it a try. They were boxed in a way that seemed to protect the plants. I put them in the ground last week and we will see how they do up here.

Yoshino

Received first shipment which was damaged in transient. When I sent photos the trees were replaced with no question the next week. Healthy trees with strong root system.

Yoshino Cryptomeria

Wonderful quality. The trees came boxed very well to ensure the integrity of the tree. Each tree was staked with bamboo. I just planted the first 30 and I am going to order 10 more.
