Description

The Pink Dogwood tree makes a breathtaking addition to any yard or landscape all year long! In the springtime this variety produces vibrant pink blooms that darken as the tree matures. However, the beauty of the Dogwood does not stop there. In the fall the Dogwood's green foliage turns a fiery red shade. Beautiful charcoal bark and red fruit compose the winter look of this variety. This fruit is a favorite winter food for many bird species. The Dogwood prefers partial shade and well-drained soil. In addition, this plant also prefers soil that is slightly acidic, which helps with the draining process. The Dogwood grows at a fairly rapid pace, and can reach a mature height from 15-25 feet with a 25 foot spread.

USDA ZONES: Zone 5, Zone 6, Zone 7.

How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Dogwoods should be planted in partial shade and in well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Apply a layer of mulch but keep it away from the tree's trunk. Once planted, water regularly until the tree is established. Dogwoods need little to no fertilizing and pruning. Prune in the summer if you want to maintain the tree's shape or remove dead branches.

Beautiful Transaction - Pink Dodwood Tree

This Nursery is top-notch! I ordered this tree through Home Depot. Plant Me Green Nursery shows on the Agricultural Certifications paperwork that came with the tree.
Ordered on Monday evening close to closing time: June 19th. Tree arrived in beautiful shape on Thursday, June 22nd. Trip is 844 miles. I found just 2 green leaves in the 3-gallon plastic can that came loose during shipment. The Cardboard container was intact. And the tree was securely wrapped at the bottom in a plastic bag. The box-in-a box around the plastic can was securely stapled to the bottom of the outside box so it was not able to shift around during shipping. The soil was still moist. None of the multiple branches were damaged or broken in any way. The growth is lush green. Could not have asked for anything more. Plant Me Green Nursery did a meticulous job in preparing the tree for its journey and FedEx did an excellent job in carefully transporting it to me. Great Job done by everyone involved in the transaction!

Customer service is top notch

These guys rock. Ordered two trees. They were shipped in two packages- makes sense right. Shipper had all kinds problems. Said both were delivered yet nothing was delivered have doorbell camera to confirm. Got one tree that night but appears the shipper lost the other even after telling me it would be delivered the next day, it wasn’t. Regardless plant me green first checked how the delivery went and how the trees looked. Explained issues. They waited a day to see if tree would make it and after it still hadn’t arrived they just sent me a replacement no questions. Really appreciate them checking in on the delivery, how the trees looked and responding quickly send out another tree. The trees traveled across the country and looked great considering. They are packaged well and even though it took a week plus to arrive the soil was still moist.

I just submitted my concerns and wrote a review. The the time I finished writing the review, The replacement order was placed at no charge. No phone call back, no speaking to anyone, no fake empathy, just taken care of. I don't think I could ask for more than that.

Inadequate Packaging and Fed-Ex Handimg

I have just received my shipment of 6 Dogwood trees. Overall I am pleased with the quality of the trees. However, two of the six trees ordered were delivered damaged. This is why. The trees are potted and shipped in long rectangular cartons. The cartons are not labeled "THIS SIDE UP". The pots are not secured to one end of the carton and can slide up and down the length of the carton. Fed-Ex handled these cartons like any other delivery, upside down. The result was broken trunk and branches.

I am waiting to hear back from customer service regarding replacements.
