Description

It’s got all the things you’re looking for in a summertime treat. Delicious, large, sweet and juicy! July Prince has many of the same traits of Winblo but one thing that sets it apart is that it is even BIGGER! Its very much known for its size and averages between 3 and 3.5 inches in diameter. It has a nice, yellow background color and red overcolor or blush that gives it that really attractive combination to make it a very pretty peach. It has a very nice, uniform, round shape. When you cut through the skin into the flesh you can see that its’ got yellow flesh. There is also some red pigmentation in the flesh. Its nothing to worry about – those are anthocyanin pigments which are excellent antioxidants making it a health benefit for you. Its also freestone and its melting flesh type. This vigorous tree has attractive pink spring blossoms. It has been bred to hold fruit on the tree when ripe, meaning a longer harvest of tree-ripened fresh fruit. It needs around 800 chill hours and has good frost resistance for uncertain springs in cooler zones. Ripens early August. It is self-pollinating and has shown low susceptibility to bacterial spot.

How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Plant peach trees in deep, well-drained, sandy soil and in an area with plenty of sunlight. Planting should be done in the spring. Prune once a year, removing vertical branches to encourage lateral growth.
