Rosseyanka is a truly amazing blend between Asian and American Persimmons. Combining traits of both fruits, now the taste of Kaki persimmons can be enjoyed in the North. More of the American parent is evident in leaf and tree form. Fruit tastes like a blend of soft Asian persimmon and ripe native persimmon. Fruits are seedless! The candy like orange fruit has a rich flavor enjoyed into the winter. Good orange leaf color in the fall. Fruit size is larger than native persimmon, approximately 2-3 inches. Must be soft to eat. Fruits will "wrinkle" when ripe. Height 15'-20'. We graft the Rosseyanka onto native American persimmon root stock. USDA ZONES: Zone 5, Zone 6, Zone 7, & Zone 8.

First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need. Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system. Once the tree is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material. Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets. When finished, water thoroughly. To insure your plants a successful growth rate and productive life, plant your seedlings per the instructions included in your PlantMeGreen package.
Plant persimmon trees in full sun to partial shade and in moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly after planting, until tree is established. Persimmon trees need about 40 inches of water every year. Persimmons only need pruning if limbs are crossing or in order to control the tree's size.

Rosseyanka Persimmon tree

Received the tree in excellent condition, well packed with some leaves beginning to shoot out. Has been in the ground for a week now and there are more healthy leaves anxious to show off. I live in a zone not appropriate for the Rosseyanka but it is thriving. Great Job Plant Me Green. All the other trees I have purchased bare root from Plant Me Green are growing beautifully because Plant Me Green ships the most healthy plants, well packaged. Thank you Plant Me Green!

Good looking dormant potted tree

The plant arrived very well packed and in good condition. My ground was not frozen, so I planted it. I have never planted in the Winter. I hope this tree is a survivor.

Rating of condition

So far, so good. I received the tree in a healthy dormant state and planted it the day that I received it. Objective review to be place later this summer after the tree starts growing; however, I was overall pleased with the quality and customer service.
