How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Plant fig trees in loamy soil and in a northern exposure. They need plenty of sunlight and room in order to grow and thrive. Fertilize once a year. Fig trees only require light pruning which should be done in late winter.

Black Mission and Brown Turkey

I received a Black Mission and a Brown Turkey fig trees #7 pots in excellent condition. After a week in the ground they were well adjusted and looking great!!
In the same order, I got a eucalyptus Cinerea #1 pot in very sad condition. The tree is not dead, it just looks like the tree I would have never chosen had I’ve been at the nursery. I give a 5 star review to the figs and a 2 star review to the quality of the eucalyptus.

will wait and see

Was told this fig tree will pollinate the figs without the need for the wasps....The tree came packaged well . Will give a review in a year after the tree has time to produce figs that ripen.

black mission fig

The tree arrived in great condition and with excellent packing. I was leery about buying trees online given poor experiences in the past with OTHER companies, but I can say this interaction with plantmegreen has been FANTASTIC! So much so that after my initial order, I placed another almost immediately after receipt. I look forward to more purchases of great plants/trees from plantmegreen.com in the future. Thank you for providing such great products and service!
