Description

Pastel purple blooms and deep black foliage make Black Diamond® Lavender Lace™ an elegant accessory for container gardens and landscape beds, but they’ll hold their own as blooming hedges, as well. Lavender Lace™ combines traditional beauty with a commanding presence wherever it’s planted. A maximum size of 10-12 feet tall and 8 feet wide lets gardeners use this plant wherever they need a bit of interest in the garden. Plant alone as a specimen or mix and match with other Black Diamond® Blooms for an outstanding design. Crape Myrtles look particularly nice when lining driveways or fences, and can also be planted in a container on your deck or patio as long as the container is at least 12 inches in diameter. These crape myrtles are drought tolerant, mildew resistant, and low-maintenance. Zone 6 planting requires protection during the winter otherwise, it will die back to the ground and blooms will be sparse. The Black Diamond is hardy in Zones 7-9.

At Plant Me Green we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care. We ship your plants using FedEx Ground® the following business day after you have completed checkout.

We are now offering $15 flat rate shipping for all tree orders! Replacement tree shipping cost will be $15 per box. We still cannot ship to some states and US territories based off the Agricultural Laws that may be in place. Please see below for all exclusions. 

SPRING SHIPPING: To mitigate the stress on our plants during transit, we will only be shipping Monday thru Wednesday. If you place an order on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday your order will ship the following Monday. Please take into consideration your transit times before placing an order, using FedEx Ground's delivery estimation chart below.

Trees: Due to strict Agricultural Laws in place, we currently cannot ship to the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii. We cannot ship to Puerto Rico or international.

Houseplants: Can ship to California and Arizona. 
How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

To help crape myrtles retain water, mulch with organic matter 2-3 inches deep, making sure to keep mulch a few inches away from the trunk. Water regularly until established. Remove dead branches any time and prune weak branches back in the spring in order to encourage a strong and productive tree. Fertilize once per year as new growth emerges.

Arrived quickly

Black Diamond Lavender Lace

Plant arrived in excellent condition as it was packed well in a corrugated box. Beautiful burgundy leaves and no flowers yet. Planted and thriving, looking forward to growth and blooms, planted in full sun. I added some organic material to the planting soil and am watering it well every other day as it is very hot and humid here. Very pleased with this purchase.
