Description

True to its name, string of hearts (Ceropegia woodii) is a trailing vine plant with heart-shaped, variegated leaves. This South-African native plant is part of the Apocynaceae family, and its other common names are sweetheart vine, rosary vine, chain of hearts, and collar of hearts. String of hearts also flowers, and the stems produce small magenta tubers in the spring and summer.
