Bird's Nest Fern
Asplenium nidusCommon Name: Bird's Nest Fern
USDA Hardiness Zones: 10-11 (Outdoors)
Description
The Bird's Nest Fern is a gorgeous broadleaf fern that creates a tropical vibe within your interior space. Native to the tropical regions of Asia and east Africa, Asplenium Nidus has large, light green, often crinkled leaves. This tropical plant prefers "rainforest" conditions in partial shade or indirect sunlight, and high humidity. With the proper environment and attentive care, leaves can grow up to 5 feet long. The Birds Nest grows in a rosette formation with the new fronds unfurling from the center, and as the new fronds develop they look akin to birds eggs, hence their name.
This plant is pet and children safe.
