Description

The Baby Blue Eucalyptus, is a hardy, fast-growing evergreen tree with dusty blue-green leaves that will bring year-round color as well as an aromatic fragrance to your yard. Cut some of the branches off and you can bring the fresh scent into the house as a natural way to aromatize your home. The Baby Blue gets its name from the shape and color of its leaves which are round and silvery. These leaves make the eucalyptus a great shade tree to keep you cool during the summer months. The Baby Blue is drought tolerant and is hardy in Zones 8-11. It reaches a height of about 40 feet and a spread of 10-12 feet. When planting, avoid wet areas.

USDA ZONES: Zone 8, Zone 9, Zone 10, Zone 11

How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

After planting, mulch your Silver Dollar Eucalyptus creating a 3-4 inch layer that does not touch the tree's bark. Water at least once a week for the first two years, supplying 5-20 gallons of water per week. Prune in early spring.

Very poor condition

Both trees came in very poor condition. Leaves were red and brown. I am trying to safe my plants however I don’t think it’s possible.

New Growth Dried Out/Nobody Contacts Back

New growth on both trees dried out. I’ve been contacting Plat Me Green seeking advice on how to proceed/give correct care and nobody has contacted me after 7 days of sending pictures and emails. Disappointed with this company.

I was very happy with the maturity of this plant. I transplanted it into a container and it is doing well!

Broken tree

The eucalyptus tree came with the top of the tree broken off. It has a good amount of leaves on the top section so we are bummed that we received it this way.
