Pecan Trees - Pawnee (Type 1)Carya illinoinensis
USDA Hardiness Zones: 6-10
The Pawnee Pecan tree has a high yield potential for high quality nuts. The pecans ripen around October and their excellent kernel color and quality make them a great nut to have around the house (or in a pie!) for the holiday season. The nuts are large and thin shelled so they are easily crack-able. The Pawnee Pecan is a medium sized tree and can reach a height of 30 feet with a width between 15-25 feet. It can be planted in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate a variety of soil types. Pawnee pecan is a Type 1.
USDA ZONES: Zone 6, Zone 7, Zone 8, Zone 9, Zone 10

How to Plant
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Received your order of Pecan trees a couple weeks ago. Very surprised. The trees came in excellent condition and were way bigger than I thought they would be. Packaging of the trees was fantastic. One of the trees came a couple days later then the initial order, but that was ok, gave me time to get the first two planted. I was so impressed with the order I will be ordering more from you guys in the Spring. Thanks for caring. Very few companies take the time and effort to do things right now days.
Taller than I expected. Unfortunately because it is autumn, it lost a bunch of leaves and a few branches in the shipping process. It looks dry and unhealthy, but it is still green. Looking forward to seeing what it does in the spring.
It arrived in good condition. The leaves are wilting but I did the scratch test and all is well.
Best tree we have ever purchased.
Had 1 of 4 that was bad. It was quickly replaced. Great service.
