Most Plant Me Green trees can be shipped and planted any time of year, unless the variety is specified as only seasonal delivery (such as bare root trees). Our shipping schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This is to ensure our trees do not stay in a box longer than necessary and arrive to you as healthy as possible. If a package needs to arrive prior to a specific date, or at a more convenient time for you, please notate that upon placement of your order. On some occasions, severe weather and other unusual issues can delay shipping and delivery of your Plant Me Green package. Holiday shipping schedules are set by the carriers.
First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need. Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system. Once the tree is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material. Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets. When finished, water thoroughly. To insure your plants a successful growth rate and productive life, plant your seedlings per the instructions included in your PlantMeGreen package.
Plant grape vines in full sun and in deep, well-drained soil. The best season to plant in is spring. Grape vines need little to no fertilizing but do need to be pruned annually in order to encourage higher yields. Once the fruit arrives, wait until they are completely ripe before picking.

My Grape Catawba is loosing all the leaves.

My grape plant started after two or three days to lose all the leaves I called on the phone and one Lady told me that I had to wait until March to see if my grapes were ripe or revived. I'm not happy at all.

Hello Bernarda! As stated on the phone, the grapes are currently pulling the nutrients from their leaves causing them to appear 'ugly' and ultimately leading to the leaves falling off as part of the natural cycle of dormancy. If we were to send a replacement tree now, you would get the same appearance in the grape plant, as they all are losing leaves this time of year. We suggested you wait til spring before requesting a replacement so that you could see the plant was healthy and was just transitioning into dormancy to prepare for winter. The grapes should not keep their leaves year-round. We offer a year guarantee on all of our potted plants. Upon completion of our talk you were quite happy and understanding of what was going on with your grapes. If you would like to speak with a representative again to clarify any misunderstandings you may call us toll free at 855-817-5268.
