How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Birches thrive in areas where the soil is kept cool and moist but the tree's leaves will still benefit from the sunlight. As a general guideline, the east and north side of your house are the best planting locations. While the tree is young, mulch and water regularly. The best watering is a slow, deep watering. Try laying a hose down over the tree's roots and running it on low for several hours once a week.

Great value...would order again if I needed more trees....

Very quick shipping, tree arrived safely. Don't need anymore trees but if I did, I'd buy them through Plant Me Green.

Dura Heat Tree height

I definitely want to plant one. Hopefully it grows to its full 40 ft height. How do you make sure it goes to its full height?

first order

this was a first order for me. I ordered nearly two dozen trees of various kinds.. The service was excellent and trees arrived timely and in good condition. Some were taller than expected and they are all in the ground. I placed a second order and was happy with it as well I expect to order more in the fall.

Dura Heat

Plant arrived in great shape. It spent two days on our porch to acclimate. I then planted it according to your very clear and good instructions. It has been watered by both me and Mother Nature and is doing well. It will be interesting to see how the Dura Heat and Heritage do in comparison to each other.
