How to Plant
STEP 1) First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need.
STEP 2) Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting.
STEP 3) Remove the plant from the pot and place the root ball in the hole. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system.
STEP 4) Once the plant is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material.
STEP 5) Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets.
STEP 6) When finished, water thoroughly.
Care Guide

Plant your redbud in full sun or partial shade, but do not plant in low-lying areas where too much water can accumulate. Mulch around tree, taking care to keep room between the mulch and the tree trunk. Prune redbuds in winter or early spring to create your desired shape.

Arrived healthy

My baby Eastern redbud arrived looking good and healthy. I trimmed it slightly because the central leader looked shorter than the branches, but I'm not sure if that's necessary with a redbud. I wish it hadn't arrived on the weekend. I work a lot of weekends and it's easier for me to plant on a weekday. But overall, I'm very pleased.

Wow!

When the tree arrived the leaves looked horrible and all fell off, but I still planted the tree. Omg! The tree has absolutely exploded with leaves since I’ve planted it. Every day I’m excited to check the growth progress. I will be a repeat customer
