Wonderful Pomegranates are a particularly sweet and delicious fruit that can grow to the size of a grapefruit. The pomegranates ripen in the fall to a yellowish-red and, once ripen, can be eaten fresh or used for juice. Besides the delicious fruit it produces, the tree is a good landscaping plant. It is quite showy with its large fruit and red, waxy flowers. At maturity, the Wonderful can reach a height of 8 - 12 feet. It is hardy in Zones 8-10, requiring 150 chill hours. USDA ZONES: Zone 8, Zone 9, Zone 10.

Most Plant Me Green trees can be shipped and planted any time of year, unless the variety is specified as only seasonal delivery (such as bare root trees). Our shipping schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This is to ensure our trees do not stay in a box longer than necessary and arrive to you as healthy as possible. If a package needs to arrive prior to a specific date, or at a more convenient time for you, please notate that upon placement of your order. On some occasions, severe weather and other unusual issues can delay shipping and delivery of your Plant Me Green package. Holiday shipping schedules are set by the carriers.
First, decide on a planting location. Consider carefully what kind of sun, soil, and growing-space your tree or shrub will need. Once you've located the perfect spot, the hole you are digging must be at least double the width and as deep as the root system you are planting. The top of the root system should be level with the ground. Before placing the tree or shrub in the hole, use your hands to gently break up the root system. Once the tree is in place, backfill the hole with native soil and any leftover potting material. Pack down the soil to eliminate any air pockets. When finished, water thoroughly. To insure your plants a successful growth rate and productive life, plant your seedlings per the instructions included in your PlantMeGreen package.
Pomegranate trees need sun and heat to thrive. They should also be planted in well-drained soil. After planting, water regularly until established. Prune to a balanced form, removing suckers. Prune annually in order to encourage higher yields.

Looking good...

The trees arrived in good condition- good job securing them for transport! I was unable to plant them immediately but when I did, a week later, they still looked great. Hoping they continue to do well.

Very Happy!

I bought two Pomegranate trees from arborday.org and this is company my trees came from. They arrived on time, well wrapped, unbroken, with red shoots growing on both, one even has two blooms. I am very happy with my 2 trees and can't wait to enjoy years of fruit.

Still Disappointed

I am giving the pomegranate tree a rating of two stars because the first tree I received was barely alive with a dead leader branch down to the base. They were friendly and helpful, and promptly replaced the tree with a healthier bush, unfortunately, it had its leader branch topped off with tiny water sprout branches growing from it. I am afraid neither of these bushes will grow into the tree I had hoped for. I wonder if the company even knows about how topping can stop the tree from growing upward into a strong tree. Dumbfounded and frustrated.
